Car in hedge after crash which has shut A4059 near Mountain Ash completely - latest updates

Police, ambulance and fire crews are at the scene of a crash on a major valleys route. The A4059 is closed in both directions from Canal Road, Cwmbach, to Dyffryn Road, Mountain Ash.

According to traffic service Inrix, a car has taken down a lamppost which has exposed live wires. WalesOnline has seen a picture of the scene, which shows a car in a hedge with a bent lamppost nearby. Emergency services can also be seen in attendence.
