Caolan Loughran targets Raul Rosas Jr after victory over Angel Pacheco

Caolan Loughran set his sights on UFC's teenage sensation Raul Rosas Jr after his unanimous decision win over Angel Pacheco in Atlantic City on Saturday night.

Loughran’s right hands jarred Pacheco throughout the three-round contest and were cheered on by an audible Irish assembly, who were present at the infamous Boardwalk Hall venue to witness the first exchanges of the night.

After the win, Loughran underlined his reasons for targeting the talented Mexican prospect.

"Let’s do it, we’ve got the same record now," said Loughran at the post fight press conference.

"We can do it on the pay-per-view in Manchester, or we can do it on (McGregor) vs. Chandler, or we can go to the Sphere on Mexican Independence Day and have 15 million Mexicans booing me on the way out.

"We’ve got the same record now, I’m now in position to be calling out 'Sugar’ (Sean O’Malley), or Merab (Dvalishvili). I feel like a bit of a ******** calling out a 19-year-old lad, but it makes sense, We’re in the same position, we have the same record."

Elsewhere on the night, on the first fight of the event’s main card, Rhys McKee added to his three-fight UFC losing streak with a split decision loss to experienced campaigner, Chidi Njokuani.

Although McKee proved equal to the to Njokuani in the first half on the contest, his striking output wilted as the three-round contest unraveled, which likely cost him the win on the majority of judges’ scorecards.
