Canucks, Boeser agree to three-year, $19.95 million deal

The Vancouver Canucks and forward Brock Boeser agree to a three-year deal worth $6.65 million per season, the team announced on Friday.

The 25-year-old played in 71 games last season, scoring 23 goals and registering 46 points for the Canucks.

Boeser was selected 23rd overall by the Canucks in the 2015 NHL Draft, and made his debut with Vancouver the next season. He has spent his entire six-year career with the Canucks, and was a member of the All-Rookie team as well as runner-up in Calder Trophy voting in the 2017-18 season.

Boeser has consistently performed around the same level in his NHL career. In each of the last five seasons he played 55-to-70 games and totalled between 45 and 55 points. He played last season under a three-year, $17.625 million contract, which has an average annual value of $5.875 million. The Burnsville, Minn., native has 121 goals and 256 points in 324 career NHL games.
