AHEAD OF THE GAME: Phillips makes stellar move ahead of City switch
Kalvin Phillips has made another big transfer this week in addition to his impending £45million move from Leeds to Manchester City, with the England midfielder making a late decision to choose Stellar Sports to negotiate the deal on his behalf.
Phillips' contract with his previous agency, Palm Sports Management, expired last month which triggered a scramble for his services.
The 26-year-old opted for Stellar, who represent three of his closest friends: former Leeds team-mates Patrick Bamford and Luke Ayling as well as new City colleague Jack Grealish.
AMAZON RUFFLE SKY SPORTS FEATHERS
Amazon Prime's capture of live Champions League TV rights from 2024 has ruffled feathers at Sky Sports, who are worried their rivals will bid for more Premier League games in the next domestic auction.
Amazon have secured 20 Champions League matches per season for the first time and continue to build on their live sports offering alongside their sports documentary business.
Sky made a bid for the Champions League but never expected to regain the rights from BT Sport, who have retained the vast majority of games, and their biggest concern is the potential emergence of Amazon as a threat to their domestic dominance.
WHEN THE MISCOUNT COMES MARCHING IN
Tottenham's success in selling out their new 60,000-seat stadium on a regular basis may have gone to the heads of staff working in their recruitment department.
A recent job specification sent to recruitment consultants for the new position of 'Partnership Development Manager' claimed the club have 'an estimated 615.5million global followers,' which amounts to about 1/12th of the world's population, and is only slightly less than the entire population of Europe.
