Canadian freestyle skiers Naomi Urness and Dylan Deschamps both won silver medals at the World Cup season-opening big air event on Saturday in Secret Garden, China.
For the 21-year-old Urness, of Mont-Tremblant, Que., it marked the first World Cup medal of her career. She achieved that feat by posting a two-run combined score of 165.75.

Great Britain's Kirsty Muir took gold in the women's event with a total of 174.50 points, including a competition-best first run of 91.75, while China's Liu Mengting (165.25) rounded out the podium in bronze position.
On the men's side, Quebec City's Deschamps, 22, scored a combined 178.50 to take silver. American Troy Podmilsak won the event with a score of 185.50, while New Zealand's Luca Harrington (176.00) took bronze.
