Canada's India Sherret strikes gold at World Cup ski cross in Austria
India Sherret of Cranbrook, B.C., captured gold on Friday, the final day of World Cup ski cross racing in Reiteralm, Austria.
Ottawa's Hannah Schmidt earned bronze despite a crash with teammate Brittany Phelan of Mont-Tremblant, Que., who placed fourth.
The two Canadians did not finish the race and were tended to by medical personnel on the course.
Fanny Smith of Switzerland claimed silver.
This result marked a reverse of Thursday's final, where Schmidt took gold, Smith earned silver, and Sherret finished with bronze.

Canadians share ski cross podium again with India Sherret winning gold and Hannah Schmidt taking bronze
Kevin Drury of Canada collected bronze in the men's final, finishing behind Youri Duplessis Kergomard of France, who took gold, and Simone Deromedis of Italy, who earned silver.
