Canadian snowboarder Francis Jobin claims slopestyle gold for 1st career World Cup victory

Canada's Francis Jobin captured a snowboard slopestyle gold medal and earned his first World Cup podium in Aspen, Colo., on Sunday.

The 26-year-old native of Quebec City put together a crisp run in the 16-man final, scoring 79.30 en route to the top of the podium.

He cleared his first two rails with nearly flawless execution, also landing a switch backside double rodeo 1260 nosegrab to cap a stellar run.

Jobin's previous best in slopestyle was fourth, and after a seventh-place position following qualification his victory came as an upset.
