Cameron Menzies gets emotional over Rangers and darts double as Betis win factors into World Championship celebrations

Cameron Menzies had time for a Rangers celebration after downing Rusty-Jake Rodriguez to make the World Darts Championships second round.

It was a rollercoaster for the Scot who was fancied to beat his Austrian opponent in the first round and it was ultimately a comfortable straight sets win. But after cruising to the first two in the best-of-five-sets contest, Rodriguez went two legs up in the third and looked to be mounting a comeback. But he left himself on 24 in the fifth, eventually checking out with a double three, and celebrated wildly in front of the Ally Pally crowd.

He's one of the most colourful characters in the sport at the moment and came out to 'I'm Feeling It' - an adopted Rangers anthem and a nod to his Ibrox allegiances. And PDC shared a clip of him celebrating behind the scenes along with his dad after the win.

He tells cameras: "I wish you could experience the emotions of this. I went up 2-0 and thought 'I'm going to win this.' Then he battered me and I thought 'I'm not going to win this.' I'm shaking like a leaf!"

He then embraces his dad who reminds him "and the Rangers won last night!" before a buzzing Menzie responds "I know!"

Gers of course beat Real Betis 3-2 on Thursday night to reach the Europa League last 16. And Menzies will be hoping to make it an even better week for himself when he takes on Dave Chisnall in the second round over the weekend.
