Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2: Playstation Hints of possible VR version

Activision’s upcoming Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 appears to have a virtual reality (VR) safety notice on Playstation, suggesting that a VR version of the game might be coming too.

The second half of this year is packed with cool games across all, with one of the anticipated releases being Activision’s Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, a follow up to 2019’sModern Warfare.

The game was heavily leaked without it being announced which later forced the publishers to confirm the rumours. Recently, the devs also shared the Modern Warfare 2 release date, setting it to October 28. 

The pre-order details along with launch editions were leaked earlier and recently, a new image has surfaced which shows a VR notice inside Modern Warfare 2, hinting at a possibility of a VR version of the game.

With the poor performance of Vanguard and Warzone being a different mess altogether, the stakes for both COD Modern Warfare 2 and Activision are quite high. The title needs to live up to the hype as well as with modern standards set by other games.

The game has been heavily leaked already and there’s a piece of new information which suggests that Modern Warfare 2 might have some sort of VR version in the works as well. This new scoop comes via a tweet by the user going with the name Øddy.

The user shared an image which has a ‘VR Headset Safety Notice’ on a PlayStation 5 console (by the image’s background) with a caption: “COD MWII with VR notice?” This has sparked a conversation regarding a Modern Warfare 2 VR version.
