Ireland call-up for Max O'Leary after James Talbot withdraws
Bohemians goalkeeper James Talbot has been forced to withdraw from the Republic of Ireland squad due to injury with Bristol City's Max O'Leary called up in his place.
Talbot was not part of Stephen Kenny's original squad for this month's four UEFA Nations League fixtures but was drafted in after the defeat to Armenia due to Gavin Bazunu nursing a back problem.
But the Bohs keeper suffered an injury in training on Friday and will return to his club.
Bristol's O'Leary, who was called into the squad for March's friendlies after injuries to Bazunu and Bournemouth's Mark Travers, will now serve as Ireland's number three behind Liverpool's Caoimhin Kelleher and Travers for the remaining Nations League fixtures.
Captain Seamus Coleman will also miss the upcoming games against Scotland and Ukraine on Saturday and Tuesday respectively after the defender sustained a groin issue in the defeat to Armenia last Saturday.
