CAF set to name hosts, assistants, performers for Cote d’Ivoire 2024 AFCON draw

It is two days to the final draw of the Cote d’Ivoire 2024 Africa Cup of Nations and all the actors to the event are ready, according to the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
The draw, which will reveal the groups and the teams’ routes to the final, will be witnessed by some of Africa’s biggest stars, showbiz celebrities, football leaders, global media, CAF Family and commercial partners.
Apart from Nigeria, other teams waiting to know their group stage opponents are Côte d’Ivoire (hosts), Algeria, Angola, Burkina Faso, Cameroun, Cape Verde, Congo DR, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau and Mali.
Others are Mauritania, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, and defending champions, Senegal. Also in the list are South Africa, Tanzania, Tunisia and Zambia.
According to CAF, the final draw will hold at Parc des Expositions, Abidjan, which is one of the most iconic and impressive buildings in Cote d’Ivoire’s economic hub, on Thursday by 7.00 p.m. GMT (8.00 p.m. Nigerian time).
CAF said it would broadcast the draw live on its YouTube channel and also its global TV partners.
The final draw is a major milestone to the kick-off of the Africa Cup of Nations and will see the 24 participating member associations discover their group stageopponents at the competition, which will kick off on January 13, 2024 and end on February 11, 2024.
CAF said that it will start revealing the identities of some key individuals involved in the final draw, including draw hosts, draw assistants, and notable musical and cultural performers, today.
