Busted's Matt Willis launches podcast about addiction following BBC documentary

The bass player of the popular 90s band Busted has launched a podcast about addiction and recovery. Matt Willis took to social media to announce his new podcast called 'On The Mend' where he will be exploring the 'different kinds of addiction' following his BBC documentary.

Matt, husband of TV presenter Emma Willis, recently starred in a BBC documentary about his struggles with cocaine and alcohol addiction. The documentary aired which aired BBC One featured the former teen sensation detailing his addiction problems, the impact it had on his family and his road to recovery.

On Instagram, Willis, 40, told fans: "My very own podcast series On The Mend is coming next week. Some of you may have seen the BBC documentary Fighting Addiction, and in it I talk about my struggles with addiction and the strain it’s put on my family and friends.

"If you watched or messaged, thank you. It made me think…I really want to continue the conversation around addiction, but more importantly, about recovery.

"I’m going to be exploring some of the different kinds of addictions there are, and chat to some people who have gone through them, and I also get to talk some experts on how best to recover. The chat might be tough, and raw, but I hope it’s helpful."

Matt was a bassist and singer of popular pop punk group Busted. Along with Matt, the group featured Charlie Simpson and James Bourne.

The height of the group's popularity was back in the late 90s and early 2000s which saw them score chart topping hits like, Year 3000, Crashed The Wedding and What I Go To School For. The group broke up in 2005, after vocalist and guitarist Charlie Simpson
