Bruno Fernandes reveals the key to Manchester United's incredible comeback vs Man City
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes praised his teammates' collective spirit after they staged a dramatic comeback to beat Manchester City 2-1 in Sunday's derby at the Etihad Stadium.
Trailing 1-0 with 87 minutes on the clock, United were given a golden opportunity to earn themselves a point when Amad was clattered inside the box by Matheus Nunes. Fernandes stepped up to take up the resulting penalty, bringing the scores level with two minutes of normal time left.
However, United went one better, scoring a second goal in the final minute of normal time when Lisandro Martinez's long ball was latched onto by Amad, who lifted the ball over Ederson and then finished to seal an unlikely victory.

It marked United's first win at the Etihad since March 2021 and Fernandes felt it stemmed from their refusal to roll over and accept defeat.
"Of course," Fernandes told MUTV when asked if it was important if United rose to the challenge collectively. "We always have to do it as a team.
"If the team believes, and even sometimes when we shake a little bit and we need one, two or three players to show that the belief is still there, we still have a chance of winning the game and still have a chance of getting a result.
"We always need that from the team because when you have that, then the energy comes up, you get chances, heads are lifted and you go again and you go again. That was what happened today."
