Bruno Fernandes rejects Gary Neville criticism and makes demand to Man United dressing room

Bruno Fernandes thinks Manchester United's players give maximum 'effort' on the pitch every game.

United's players have received unprecedented scrutiny this term following desperately poor performances. United were expected to challenge for the Premier League title but they're now fighting to secure European football for next season.

United lost 4-0 against Liverpool on Tuesday night. It was another gutless display from United and Gary Neville, who was on commentary for the match, once again suggested United's players weren't giving the club maximum effort.

Fernandes rejected that claim after the match and made a demand to his teammates for the remainder of the season.

"I think everyone runs. I think every game there is effort from everyone," Fernandes told Sky Sports.

"I don't think someone does not give 100%. We have to do it for ourselves, the clubs, the fans and everyone. We have to say things but that is kept in the dressing room. Now it is over we have to think of the next game. It will be a tough game again.

"No that cannot happen [wanting season to end]. We are a big club. We are competing until the end, and somebody doesn’t want to compete they are out straight away. Nobody can put their head down now and think it is over.

"All of us have to understand we have something to fight for, at least for the badge."
