Broos reveals reason for Zwane's Bafana return: 'Only fools don't change their minds'

It was a welcome surprise when Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos included veteran Themba Zwane in his 23-man squad for matches against Sierra Leone and Botswana.

"We have to give him a chance, certainly now as Percy Tau, Fagrie Lakay, Evidence Makgopa [and] Bongokuhle Hlongwane are all not there (all injured).

"It is four strikers who are not here. I wouldn't be honest with myself if I didn't call up Zwane now.

"It (Zwane's
