'Broken' Rangers spark epic takedown from Kris Boyd as he fears top brass are conditioning fans to be second best

Het-up Kris Boyd didn't pause for breath as he claimed the structure at Rangers is broken and reckons decision makers at Ibrox are preparing punters to be second best.

The pundit passed on his best wishes to departing chairman John Bennett after he exited due to health reasons, however, he sees many reasons to worry for boss Philippe Clement, as they trail rivals Aberdeen and Celtic after an error-prone start to the season which has been played away from Ibrox.

Boyd, asked if he was over his post-Celtic tantrum, was unequivocal with a yes, however, he had a fresh round of ammo to fire off as he sounded off on the Rangers issues which are grumping him. Speaking to Sky Sports, Boyd said: "John Gilligan will temporarily fulfil the role of the chairman. For John Bennett, I hope everything is fine, your health is the most important thing. It must hurt, when you put in the amount of money these guys have, at the top of the tree for Rangers, to grow up as fans, and be criticised constantly. But, listen, that is the reality when you are at a big football club and things aren't going right. I am sure they would have said the same with the previous owners, and that is why they are in the position they are in.
