Bristol City vs Man City highlights and reaction as Foden and De Bruyne send Blues through
Manchester City have progressed to the quarter finals of the FA Cup thanks to a comfortable win over Bristol City.
Kalvin Phillips nearly gave City the perfect start when his long range shot clipped the crossbar. However, the Blues only had to wait until the 7th minute to have the lead.
Riyad Mahrez played a through ball to Kevin De Bruyne. The Belgian's drilled cross was turned in at the back post by Phil Foden.
The Robins have had chances with Alex Scott proving to be their biggest threat and they continued to threaten after the break. Sam Bell had their best chance but he could not direct his header goalward.
Bell's miss came back to bite them as City had their second. Good vision by Julian Alvarez picked out Foden whose strike went in via a deflection.
De Bruyne added gloss to the result with a fine strike seven minutes later. City will now have to wait to find out their next quarter final opponents.
