'Not human' - Man City fans agree as Erling Haaland scores five vs RB Leipzig

Manchester City supporters are convinced that Erling Haaland is "not human" following an out-of-this world Champions League display vs RB Leipzig at the Etihad Stadium.

Already one of the most prolific strikers in Europe when he arrived in the Premier League from German team Borussia Dortmund last summer, the Norway international has taken his game to another level at City and he was at it again with five goals on Tuesday night.

City and Leipzig were level pegging before their return leg got underway. However, by the time Haaland had been substituted on 63 minutes, the last-16 showdown was more than done and dusted.

Haaland opened the scoring from 12 yards after City were awarded a penalty for handball with VAR having a hand in the decision. He made it 2-0 only 78 seconds later when reacting quickest to a rebound after Belgium playmaker Kevin De Bruyne had struck the crossbar from long-range.

He showed his goalscoring instincts, once again, before the half-time whistle sounded by completing his hat-trick and pretty much rubber-stamping progression into the quarter-finals for his side. Haaland was not about to stop there, though, as he netted two more goals upon the restart.

City captain Ilkay Gundogan and De Bruyne were also on target in a 7-0 win which made it 8-1 on aggregate. But there can be no denying Haaland was the star man.

His tally for the season now reads 39 goals in 36 games. That includes 10 in only six Champions League outings and City fans were keen to praise their star forward on Twitter.
