Brinksway in Stockport closed due to police incident in early hours- latest updates

The A560 Brinksway road in Stockport has been closed due to an unspecified police incident, it has been reported.

At 2:43 on Saturday morning, the Twitter account for Transport for Greater Manchester posted a message stating that there was a road closure on the A560 Brinksway, Stockport, between the Audi Dealership near the junction with Wood Street, and Alder Grove, affecting around 500 metres of road.

TfGM advised that the best way to avoid the road closure was to take a diversion on the M60, from Junction 1 to Junction 2.
