Brighton vs Man City highlights and reaction as Haaland header disallowed after VAR check
Manchester City were held to a 1-1 draw at Brighton and Hove Albion as the hosts secured Europa League football.
The Blues could have taken the lead earlier with Erling Haaland missing two guilt-edge opportunities. However, they eventually hit the front through Phil Foden.
Haaland broke the offside trap, squared the ball for Foden and he tapped home. The Seagulls rallied after going behind and were deservedly level just over ten minutes later.
Julio Enciso ran at the City backline before firing a sensational long-range strike straight into the top corner leaving Stefan Ortega no chance. After the break, the Blues started the better but had to rely on some decent saves from Ortega.
Haaland thought he had won it with ten minutes remaining but it was overturned by VAR due to a foul in the build-up.
