Brett Hodgson names strong Hull FC side to face Sheffield Eagles in Challenge Cup

Brett Hodgson has named his strongest available side to take on Sheffield Eagles this afternoon. The Black and Whites head coach had spoken about the possibility of blooding a couple of youngsters in the sixth round Challenge Cup tie, but he has decided against resting his key men.

Carlos Tuimavave comes into the line-up for the first time this season after overcoming a hamstring injury, while Connor Wynne is also named in the outside backs. Mitieli Vulikijapani moves from centre to the bench, while Jordan Lane moves from the bench to start at loose-forward.

Brad Fash is the only player to drop out of the squad for the clash as Jack Brown and Josh Bowden are named as interchanges. Ben McNamara will partner Joe Lovodua once more in the halves, however, with Luke Gale serving the final game of his suspension the skipper will come back on Thursday night at Wigan Warriors.

Hull FC: Jake Connor; Adam Swift, Carlos Tuimavave, Josh Griffin, Connor Wynne; Ben McNamara, Joe Lovodua; Ligi Sao, Danny Houghton, Chris Satae; Andre Savelio, Manu Ma’u; Jordan Lane.

Bench: Jack Brown, Jordan Johnstone, Josh Bowden, Mitieli Vulikijapani.
