'Breathtaking' Lake District walk with stunning views and 'lovely' pub at the end

For those of us looking to do something a little bit different on the weekends as we head into autumn and winter, now could be a good time to get out into nature.

And luckily, there are plenty of stunning spots here in the UK that offer a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The Lake District is famed worldwide for its breathtaking scenery and enviable walking trails. And after going viral in a TikTok video, there's one spot in particular that people are keen to visit, as it's a simple walk with a 'lovely' pub nearby as well as a cafe and ice cream parlour too.

TikToker Georgia Davies hailed Buttermere in the Lake District as one of the most 'beautiful places' she had ever seen, with 'breathtaking' views around every corner and tranquil waters acting as the centrepiece.

The walk around Buttermere Lake is said to take around two to three hours and is fairly flat, so perfect for people of all ages and abilities. Spanning around four miles, Buttermere is one of the smallest lakes within the district, but it has some of the most enviable views too.

Walking around the lake you'll see mountains towering around you from every angle, as the lake is situated within a valley. It's recommended that you walk around the water in an anti-clockwise direction in order to take in the best of the views.

You'll come across several small bridges and footpaths along a flat trail, which is great for accessibility but does mean it can get quite busy, according to people on TripAdvisor who have done the walk.
