BREAKING: Young woman at centre of murder investigation named for first time

The young woman at the centre of a murder investigation has now been named as Olivia Marsden. The 24-year-old was tragically found dead in her house near Glossop on Sunday (June 18).

Paramedics were called out to the incident at Greenbank, Hadfield, shortly after 4pm. A murder probe was immediately launched by Derbyshire Police.

Olivia has now been formally identified by her family, who are being supported by specialist officers, but her cause of death is still yet to be determined.

Chesterfield coroner's office has also confirmed to the Manchester Evening News that a file in Olivia's name has been prepared for the coroner.

Police initially arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of murder and a woman in her 50s on suspicion of assisting an offender. Both have now been bailed pending further enquiries.

A spokesperson for Derbyshire Police said: "The victim in the Hadfield murder investigation has been named. Olivia Marsden was found deceased at her home in Greenbank after the North West Ambulance Service was called just after 4pm on Sunday (18 June).

"A post-mortem has taken place, however, the cause of the 24-year-old’s death has yet to be found. Formal identification has taken place, her family are being supported by specialist officers and we ask that their privacy is respected at this time.

"A man in his 30s, who was arrested on suspicion of murder, as well as a woman in her 50s arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, have both been released on police bail as further enquiries are undertaken."
