BREAKING: Woman dead as emergency services rush to reports of house fire - live updates
A woman has been pronounced dead after emergency services were called to reports of a house fire.
Witnesses reported seeing an air ambulance land near Edale Avenue, Moston, at around 1.30pm today (Thursday). Part of the road has been closed by police with an area cordoned off.
Fire crews have also been called to the scene and a white tent is currently in place outside a property. Fire scene investigators are also parked nearby.

In a statement this afternoon, Greater Manchester Police confirmed a woman, aged 50, has been found dead. He next-of-kin has been informed and an investigation is continuing.
A GMP spokesperson said: "At around 12.10pm today (Thursday 20 July 2023), police were called to a reports of a fire at an address on Edale Ave, Moston
"Emergency services attended and sadly a 50-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next-of-kin has been informed and enquiries are ongoing at this stage.
"Anyone with information should call 0161 856 4038 quoting 1436 of 20/7/2023. Details can be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
