BREAKING: Large police and ambulance presence after serious incident

There is a large police and ambulance service response in Stalybridge after reports of an incident this evening. Residents are reporting the emergency services responded to a serious incident on High Street, near the junction with Set Street and Peel Street.

They have been in attendance for more than an hour. The nature of the incident is not yet clear, but it appears to be centred around a bus stop on High Street between Set Street and Booth Close.

The road remains open while an investigation takes place. Greater Manchester Police have been approached for more information.
