Brazil women's team touchdown in SA for historic matches against Banyana Banyana
The Brazil national women's team touched down at OR Tambo International on Tuesday afternoon for two historic clashes against Africa Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) champions Banyana Banyana.
On their arrival, the team received a hearty welcome from a large group of fans eager to catch a glimpse of the Copa America winners.
They were officially welcomed to the country by South African Football Association (SAFA) president Danny Jordaan and NEC members Job Mchunu and Jacob "Buddha" Mathathe according to the SAFA website.
Speaking just after their arrival, Brazil's team manager Ana Lorena said her side was happy to be in the country and looking forward to the matches against South Africa.
Banyana Banyana will face the visitors in two friendly internationals to be played at Orlando Stadium on Friday, 2 September and at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Monday, 5 September.
Tickets are available for both matches, which will kick off at 18:00.
