Brazil Bookies favourites for Qatar with Argentina and France tied second

With the countdown to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar well underway, the worlds biggest teams are set to face each other for the prestigious trophy once again on the global stage. 

There will be 32 teams vying for footballs ultimate prize, however there can be only one winner come December 18. 

South American giants Brazil are the current bookies favourites for the upcoming tournament. Brazil are currently sitting at odds of 5.00, the most successful team in the history of the competition with five World Cups, are predicted to add to that total and lift their sixth come December.

Brazil are currently ranked number one in the latest FIFA World Rankings, having not lost a single game in 2022 while drawing one game dating all the way back to January against Ecuador. With a group consisting of Serbia (7.50), Switzerland (7.00) and Cameroon (13.00), Brazil (1.30) are expected to win their group and advance with relative ease. 

Current holders France and South American champions Argentina, are joined second favourites respectively. If France were to lift the trophy, it would make them only the third country in history to retain the World Cup after Italy and Brazil while Argentina will want to challenge as well with this being legendary footballer Lionel Messi's last ever World Cup.

The sportsbook Sportingbet, has favoured Brazil and France to face each other in the Final on 18 December.

England, who are managed by Gareth Southgate have endured a mixed run of form and as a result, the bookies offer England at 8.00, putting The Three Lions as fourth favourites to win the World Cup in Qatar with Luis Enrique's Spain next at 9.00.
