Brandon Williams sends message to Erik ten Hag about Manchester United game time
Brandon Williams insists he is ready to take his chance at Manchester United after pushing for minutes following a long injury lay-off.
Williams spent last season on loan at Norwich City and was a regular feature for the Canaries, making 26 appearances as they were relegated from the Premier League. The 22-year-old was hoping to make the step up to compete for minutes at United but missed pre-season because of an injury.
The 22-year-old made a return before Christmas, coming off the bench for five minutes in the Carabao Cup against Burnley. But with a number of full-backs ahead of him in the pecking order, that cameo failed to spark his season into life.

"For me, obviously I had an injury that set me back but I’ve been back now for the last couple of months,” Williams told Astro SuperSport. “I’m pushing hard to get some game time, I'm waiting for my chance and I'm sure that I’ll take it.”
Unfortunately for Williams, his return to fitness has coincided with Aaron Wan-Bissaka's revival and the promising improvement of Tyrell Malacia, leaving Erik ten Hag with obvious back-up choices to Diogo Dalot and Luke Shaw.
A return to training has seen the youngster working with Christian Eriksen, a few months after the pair became quite literally inseparable during an on-field clash while playing for Norwich and Brentford respectively. In March, Williams was left frustrated at the Bees player who brought him down before realising it was Eriksen. The pair then hugged and laughed it off.
