Bournemouth transfer exit confirmed
website.
It is the first time that the 18-year-old has been loaned out in his career and the Cherries will be hoping that he will get the first team exposure he needs to improve various areas of his game.
A midfielder by trade, Wadham is also capable of operating in defence when required and will be hoping that his versatility presents him with plenty of opportunities at the Southern League Premier Division South club.
Wadham has been a regualr at youth level for Bournemouth since joining the set up at the age of 10 and was previously the captain of the club’s under-18s side.
He is on a scholarship contract at present and will be hoping that he can do enough to earn his first professional deal over the course of his loan spell away from the Vitality Stadium.
The Verdict
This is a good move for the teenager to make at a stage of the season when he will really benefit from getting some game time in a men’s team as opposed to sticking it out in the familiar confines of academy football.
The beauty of the non league pyramid is that players can be loaned out at anytime from the Football League to the lower levels, meaning that there are always plenty of opportunities for young players to develop their game further at a good level.
For Wadham, this is the perfect chance to show the likes of Scott Parker and the other staff at the club that he is worthy of a professional contract.
Only time will tell if he can make the grade or not moving forwards into the summer.
