Bournemouth man makes transfer admission
AFC Bournemouth forward Siriki Dembele has told the Bournemouth Echo that he has found his time at the club amazing so far.
The versatile attacker joined the Cherries on deadline day and has since settled into life well at the Vitality Stadium as Scott Parker’s side chase promotion back to the Premier League at the second attempt after missing out in the play-offs last season.
Dembele already has one goal to his name after scoring late on against Blackpool earlier this month and has seemingly adapted well to the demands of his new manager and appears at home in his new surroundings.
Now the forward has spoken out on how he has found his first few weeks at the club after making a bright start:
“They’ve been great, people around the club. Everyone’s nice, so it’s been amazing so far.”
The key for Dembele moving forwards is to hold down a starting spot in what is a highly competitive squad as he seeks to impress Parker in the long run.
He has certainly started in a fashion that has made people sit up and take notice after making his big move.
The Verdict
This has been a good move for Dembele so far and he will only be looking to continue his good form into the final few months of the campaign.
He took a risk by moving to a club where he won’t always be guaranteed to start and now he has to prove that he has the quality to thrive under pressure.
He’s gone from being a big fish in a small pond at Peterborough to arguably being just another attacker for Bournemouth, so he needs to stand out from the crowd.
As long as he does just that, he will go on to have a very successful career on the South Coast.
