Boubacar Kamara receives exciting Aston Villa prediction ahead of Crystal Palace clash

Aston Villa midfielder Jacob Ramsey has outlined how impressed he's been with new signing Boubacar Kamara since the French international arrived this summer.

Kamara, 22, was signed as a free agent by Villa after departing Ligue 1 club Olympique de Marseille following the end of his contract at the club. S teven Gerrard and his staff had to act quickly in order to secure the signing of the midfielder after the likes of Manchester United, Atletico Madrid and Newcastle United were all credited with an interest in the player.

Kamara has settled well in claret and blue throughout both pre-season and the first two Premier League appearances for the former Marseille man, as he provides both additional defensive support and a high level of passing within the midfield. On both occasions against Bournemouth and Everton to kickstart the season, Kamara has been joined by captain John McGinn and Jacob Ramsey in midfield, with the latter waxing lyrical about his new teammate ahead of this weekend's clash against Crystal Palace.

Speaking to Villa TV, Ramsey praised the quality Kamara has shown early on in his Villa career both on and off the ball. He said: “He’s been really impressive. Even in the training sessions in Australia when he first came you could see how calm he was on the ball and how aggressive he was off the ball.

“Each game we play together the connection between me, Kamara, Ginny or whoever is playing in there will continue to get stronger.

“The competition is high but it’s always healthy. Whoever plays in midfield will always do a good job.”
