"Been told..." - Sky Sports say on air that Parish has held talks over another Palace transfer

Crystal Palace have held talks with Manchester United over a move for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, according to Sky Sports.

The Eagles were first linked with re-signing Wan-Bissaka back in April, with a loan move mooted at the time.

Speculation has grown over a potential temporary deal in recent days, with United reportedly willing to green-light a move, should they bring in a replacement.

The 24-year-old is yet to feature under Erik ten Hag this season, and it looks as if a return to Palace is gathering pace.

Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth provided an on-air update regarding Palace and Wan-Bissaka on Thursday evening.

Sheth said he’s ‘been told’ that ‘talks are ongoing’ over a return to Selhurst Park for the right-back. He added that Palace want a loan with a potential option or obligation over a permanent deal and that United could be open to offers.

Patrick Vieira needs to think about his right-back ranks in the long run, with current options Joel Ward and Nathaniel Clyne both the wrong side of 30 and into the final 12 months of their respective deals.

Therefore, bringing in Wan-Bissaka on loan with an option or obligation to buy could be a shrewd move, providing the buy option price is right.

He starred at Palace after coming through the academy and earned a big-money move to Old Trafford, so there’s every chance he could replicate that form back at the club where he was comfortable. It may well be a busy end to the summer, with Wan-Bissaka, Ismaila Sarr and Houssem Aouar all now heavily linked with Palace.
