Bosun Lawal reveals Celtic regular contact as Brendan Rodgers is told 'I’m ready'
Bosun Lawal says he is in constant contact at Celtic as he aims to become a breakthrough star for Brendan Rodgers next season.
The Ireland Under-21 star is currently plying his trade in England with Fleetwood Town under the watchful eye of former Rangers, Liverpool and Scotland star Charlie Adam. It was Scott Brown - now in charge at Ayr United – who originally took the youngster south of the border from his old club and while he's also had ex-Hibs gaffer Lee Johnson as his boss this season, the dugout changes have not halted his progress at the Cod Army.
Lawal has been transformed from a defender into a midfielder under Adam and that is where he would like to see his career progress due to the role allowing him a bigger impact on games. He hopes to finish his time in English League One on a high before returning north of the border to resume his career with Celtic.

I speak to the coaches quite a bit and they come to the games sometimes. I do think I can be a goalscorer, and a defensive player, just whatever the game requires I can provide. That's how ready I am."
On his first year in senior football, he added: "It's what I have been wanting. I needed the first-team environment and first-team football. Thankfully everything is going well.
"I just wanted to gain experience and get as many minutes as I could in a first team environment. Once that happened I knew the performances would come together and thankfully they have."
As for where he sees himself in the long-term positionally, he continued: "I'd say my preference is in midfield but I'm cool with
