Borussia Dortmund want Man City star to 'replace' Jude Bellingham and more transfer rumours
German heavyweights Borussia Dortmund are eyeing a surprise move to bring Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan back to Signal Iduna Park.
That's according to a report by German publication Bild, which claims the Bundesliga club has 'tabled a long-term contract offer' to try and take the midfielder back to his homeland. Gundogan, who scored a brace in the FA Cup final victory over Manchester United earlier this month, is out-of-contract at the Etihad Stadium at the end of this month and talks over a new deal remain ongoing.
But with his current deal now less than two weeks away from expiring, other clubs around Europe are attempting to try and catch Gungodan's attention. He has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona over the last few months and Arsenal are now reportedly keen on the 32-year-old.
The German, who scored 11 times for City this season, joined the Blues from Dortmund in 2016, becoming Pep Guardiola's first signing as City boss. He has since made more than 300 appearances for the club, scoring 60 goals.

Gundogan previously spent five years at Dortmund, scoring 15 goals and registering 20 assists in 157 appearances. Almost seven years on from his departure, it's now claimed they would like him back. The report adds that Dortmund see him as a replacement for Jude Bellingham, who recently completed a switch to Real Madrid.
Meanwhile, City are 'set to launch' an opening £75million bid for RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol according to journalist Rudy Galetti, as cited by Manchester City News.
The Blues have been heavily linked with the Croatia international in recent months and are now being tipped to make a big-money
