Boozed-up Craig David fan removed high heel shoe and batterd girl, 15, in concert carnage

The aftermath of a Craig David concert descended into chaos, as a drunken woman attacked a schoolgirl with her high heels.

Jeorga Thompson struck the youngster in the face with her footwear, leaving her scarred. Liverpool Crown Court also heard how the 30-year-old used one as a weapon on another stranger, who was knocked out in the attack.

Thompson, who wept through proceedings, was among crowds leaving a music concert at Haydock race course on June 24 last year when the red mist descended.

On Wednesday (August 14), a court heard Thompson, of Sinclair Close, Rock Ferry, had never been in trouble before and is eight months pregnant. She pleaded guilty to two offences of wounding.

Allowing her to walk free, the judge, Recorder Richard Leiper, KC, said "This was a wholly unjustified attack. It was one compounded by the fact that, having seriously injured one person, you did the same to a 15-year-old female.“

Chris Hopkins, prosecuting, said that the offences took place at around 11pm at Haydock race course where there had been a concert. The first victim, Max Westwell, later told how he was leaving the Craig David gig and was not drunk when “he noticed a group of people and saw the defendant who was carrying a pair of high heeled shoes in her hand.

“He could not tell any more about what happened due to the assault which knocked him to the ground and he was knocked unconscious by the blow. He woke up on the ground with blood on his clothing and when he touched his face he could feel a wound to his face,” said Mr Hopkins.
