Boots Price Advantage hack to get up to 50% off purchases - how does it work?

Customers at Boots can benefit from up to 50 per cent off certain products - but only if they’ve got an Advantage Card.

It comes as part of a new scheme launched last month, called the Price Advantage, which sees shoppers with the loyalty card save more money when they shop.

It works a little bit like the Tesco Clubcard scheme, where two prices are displayed on some items, one cheaper if you scan your card.

The Boots Advantage Card launched in 1997, and has been providing shoppers with perks and points every time they swipe their card.

Card holders can collect four points per pound spent, which can then be used to pay for goods.

Other perks include bonus points when you sign up, the free Health & Beauty magazine, as well as added bonuses for parents, students and those over 60.

But the latest addition to the Advantage Card is the Price Advantage, making customers eligible for exclusive deals on some of the top rated products.

The health and beauty retailer trialled the scheme last summer, and launched it officially in stores in January.

For now, savings can only be made in store, with a view to hit online soon. Products included in the offer can be recognised by a pink ticket, which displays that lower price for Advantage Card holders.

The offers change monthly, and you can still collect Advantage Card points on your purchases, too.

I headed in store to see what Price Advantage offers I could find - and some of them were brilliant.

The first products I noticed with the pink Price Advantage tag was the L’Oreal Revitalift range, with shoppers paying £24.99 for the laser renew serum. But Advantage Card holders could save £8.39 by tapping their loyalty card at the checkout.
