Bonfire Night LIVE as Greater Manchester fire crews and police prepare for one of busiest nights of the year
Fire crews and police across Greater Manchester are gearing up for Bonfire Night 2025 - one of the busiest evenings of the year for emergency services.
Various displays are taking place across the region. However, once again, the big displays across Manchester, such as Heaton Park and Platt Fields, will not be going ahead this year.
But, local councils have announced various displays across Greater Manchester, along with a number of private events being held as well.

There are great vantage points to see displays light up the sky too, such as Hartshead Pike in Tameside, Salford Quays and Werneth Low.
This year, Greater Manchester Police and the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service have issued warnings against misusing fireworks or out of control bonfires following chaotic scenes in 2024 and 2023.
Face coverings have also been banned in parts of Manchester in a bid to curb anti-social behaviour erupting tonight. Both orders cover parts of Gorton and Abbey Hey, in east Manchester, from 9am this morning until 3am tomorrow morning.
The area includes Vine Street, which was the scene of major disorder last Bonfire Night.
Last year, streets were turned into a 'warzone' with police pelted with fireworks in Gorton and a car set alight. Parts of Salford, east Manchester and Tameside also saw some of the most serious incidents, including a bonfire in Miles Platting and in Ashton-under-Lyne where fireworks were reportedly thrown at each other 'and into people's homes'.
