Bolton Wanderers transfer window strategy & plans if Dapo Afolayan or Ricardo Santos sold outlined

Ian Evatt says Bolton Wanderers will not be 'rushed or forced into' their transfer business this summer as he admits some targets may require more than others to get done.

Wanderers are poised to strengthen this summer to add further bodies to the squad to help it challenge at the top end of League One next campaign.

including the likes of Alex Baptiste and Liam Gordon as the numbers available in defence reduced.

Bolton have been linked with a move for defender Jack Iredale, who has turned down a new contract at Cambridge United, while there are hopes to have loanees Marlon Fossey and James Trafford back at the club for next season.

Evatt is clear that Wanderers know what they need this summer and want the best available for the positions they wish to fill.

And he expects differing timescales for bringing in players this transfer window, with some additions taking longer than others to get over the line.

Evatt said: "We think that we know what we need, but again we will not be rushed or forced into anything.

"We want to get the best players for the position that we require. Some of that may require patience, we may be able to get some of it done quite quickly."

Incomings are sought and Wanderers also want to keep hold of their best talent, such as skipper Ricardo Santos
