Bolton Wanderers line-up vs Tranmere Rovers confirmed as 10 changes made

Bolton Wanderers boss Ian Evatt has made 10 changes from the side which beat Peterborough United this weekend for this evening's clash against Tranmere Rovers.

Wanderers make the journey to Prenton Park this evening to take on Tranmere Rovers in Group B of the Northern section of the competition. The Whites top the group as things stand following the 4-1 win over Crewe Alex at the end of August.

Tonight offers the chance for Wanderers boss Evatt to rotate his squad and give minutes to players who need them. And he has done just that with 10 changes made from the side which started the 1-0 win over Peterborough United over weekend.

With James Trafford called up for England under-21s duty, Joel Dixon replaces him as goalkeeper. With Jack Iredale having suffered a dead leg over the weekend, George Johnston continues in the back three and is joined by Will Aimson and Eoin Toal.

At wing-back, Liverpool loanee Owen Beck makes his Wanderers debut at right wing-back. Declan John lines up on the left after missing the weekend win over Peterborough.

In central midfield, Josh Sheehan is handed his second start after returning from a ruptured ACL. Aaron Morley is given the nod alongside him.

In the forward positions, Kieran Sadlier is a candidate to start in the number 10 role. Upfront, Jon Dadi Bodvarsson is partnered by Dapo Afolayan.

On the bench this evening for Wanderers are Luke Hutchinson, Lamine Toure, Lloyd Isgrove, Matt Tweedley, Nelson Khumbeni, Conor Carty and Connor Stanley.
