Bolton summer transfer window plans as firm message sent to any clubs eyeing Wanderers talent

Ian Evatt says he is under no doubt that Bolton Wanderers will be tested in the summer for their prized assets after their exploits on the pitch this season but insists they are not under any pressure to sell and that any clubs wanting to take a player will have to have to cough up big money.

Wanderers sit 11th in the League One table as things stand with nine games left to go of their season.

The newly promoted side could yet make it back to back promotions should they reach the Championship via the play-offs, which is their aim.

Wanderers are clearly outsiders in that race however and have margin for error over the coming weeks in a bid to make that dream a reality, as well as hope that teams above them drop points.

Evatt feels Wanderers have improved in the recent January transfer window with the likes of Dion Charles, Aaron Morley, Jon Dadi Bodvarsson, Kieran Sadlier and Kyle Dempsey being added permanently.

The Bolton boss feels the profile and age of the squad has been improved in January and foresees strategic signings to be made in the summer to improve the squad.

Evatt foresees the big challenge being hanging on to the club's best players in the summer.

But the Bolton boss insists Wanderers are not under any pressure to sell any of their prized assets and that, if any deals are done, it will be firmly on their terms and that clubs will have to cough up big money.

He told the Manchester Evening News: "I think what we’ve done is just completely transform the group. We’ve improved, we’ve got players of a good age but with us on a journey.
