Bok prop Kitshoff back to lead Stormers against Cardiff

Springbok Steven Kitshoff is back to lead the Stormers in Sunday's United Rugby Championship clash against Cardiff Rugby at Cape Town Stadium.

Kitshoff, who takes the captain's armband from flank Deon Fourie, will start at loosehead prop after being rested for last weekend's 55-7 win over Zebre in Stellenbosch. With Kitshoff taking the No 1 jersey, Brok Harris shifts across to the tighthead side and Neethling Fouche features among the replacements.

The backline that ran out against the Italian side remains unchanged.

The only other change to the Stormers match-day squad sees hooker Chad Solomon come onto the bench in place of the injured Andre-Hugo Venter.

Stormers coach John Dobson said they will look to build on the solid win over Zebre.

"We have managed to keep some continuity in our team this week which is pleasing. We know that we can improve in many areas and we will have to be sharp as ever to get the result we need on Sunday," Dobson said.

Sunday's clash kicks off at 14:00.
