Bok blow as No 9 Cobus Reinach sidelined for up to 4 months
The chances of Cobus Reinach being fit to make the Springbok squad against Wales look slim with the No 9 set for surgery for a dislocated shoulder.
Reinach injured his shoulder while playing in a European Challenge Cup fixture when Montpellier faced Harlequins two weeks ago.
According to Rapport, Reinach is scheduled to undergo surgery this week and could be ruled out for up to four months.
He is not the only player who could miss Springbok international duty, with RG Snyman (knee) and Sbu Nkosi (ankle) also currently on the sidelines.
While star winger Cheslin Kolbe is out with a thumb injury, he is expected to make a full recovery and should be fit to face Wales.
Kolbe broke his thumb while playing for Toulon against Benneton.
He underwent surgery last week.
