Bo Nickal UFC debut booked for December
Bo Nickal will make his UFC debut before the year is out after earning a contract on Dana White‘s Contender Series.
The former wrestling national champion will face experienced veteran Jamie Pickett at UFC 282 on December 12, according to reports.
A light heavyweight championship rematch between Jiri Prochazka and Glover Teixiera is expected to serve as the main event.
Nickal was one of five MMA fighters to earn themselves a contract on the final episode of DWCS Season 6.

Not only is he an incredibly talented wrestler, he is also an extremely savvy businessman, as evidenced by his high-profile callouts of Khamzat Chimaev and Logan Paul.
“If the UFC wishes, give me that Swedish dude,” Nickal said. “He might not even be the best guy, because he can’t even make weight, but if that’s the case, I’ll take him.
“If not, then give me Logan Paul. UFC debut. Me vs. Logan Paul, I know he has some skills. If we can’t do it in the UFC, let’s do it in the WWE. I’ll meet you in the ring.”
The 26-year-old boasts an unbeaten 3-0 record in MMA.
Representing the blue and white colours of Pennsylvania State University, the 6ft 1in Colorado born wrestler dominated the national wrestling circuit.
Nickal has also shown an extraordinary ability to not take any damage in the Octagon, having not absorbed a single significant strike during his career thus far.
Granted, he’s only had three fights so far, but it’s still a pretty impressive stat nonetheless.
