"Black Day In Pakistan Cricket": Fans Fume After Series Defeat To New Zealand

Following a 45-run defeat in the third T20I of a five-match series against New Zealand, Pakistan have now gone seven games without a win in international cricket. Since the change in captaincy, following Babar Azam's decision to step down as skipper after the World Cup, Pakistan have lost six games under different captains. While Babar lost his last game in in charge against England during the World Cup, the team suffered a series sweep against Australia, with new Test captain Shan Masood at the helm.

Now, new T20I skipper Shaheen Afridi has lost three games on the bounce, and faces a 5-0 series sweep with two games left to play in Christchurch later this week.

After a miserable run of form, fan took to social media to express their disappointment.

Here's how Twitter reacted:

Speaking of the 3rd T20I, Finn Allen's 137-run onslaught powered New Zealand to seal a 45-run win.

In the five-match 20-over series, the Kiwis gained an unassailable lead over Pakistan after the end of the third T20I game.

After winning the toss, Pakistan decided to field first. However, their decision did not go in their favour as they failed to restrict the Kiwis' run rate.
