Birmingham City interested in Wolves transfer as Championship winger linked

Millwall could be without two important players for their trip to Birmingham City this weekend - a match that sees Gary Rowett, Paul Robinson and Maikel Kieftenbeld all return to St Andrew's.

The Lions come to Blues on the back of Monday's 2-1 victory over Hull City, a result that puts them within a point of the Championship play-offs. By contrast Blues will be meeting familiar faces after rounding off their Easter fixtures with a 6-1 hammering at Blackpool.

Lee Bowyer will give consideration to changing a team that underperformed so badly at Bloomfield Road, while Rowett - having been forced to do without Wallace against the Tigers, could also be without Malone.

Rowett told NewsAtDen: “Jed at the moment looks like he’s probably not going to make this weekend’s game. But we’ll give him every chance to do that. We hope he might have a better chance for the following weekend with a week’s rest in between. But at this stage of the season everything has to go perfectly well.

"Scotty Malone’s probably similar, he’ll more than likely miss this weekend. We’ll see how they are coming in tomorrow [Wednesday], we haven’t had the scan results back yet. But I think any injury at this stage of the season becomes magnified because if you miss two of those three games then it’s a massive part of it."
