Billy Sharp starts: How we expect Sheffield United to line up against Blackpool on Wednesday night

Sheffield United face Blackpool at Bloomfield Road, with the Blades currently sixth in the Championship table.

Their last two games have seen mixed fortunes, having beat rivals Middlesbrough 4-1 last Tuesday, but then suffering a 4-1 defeat to Coventry City at the weekend.

However a win tonight could see the team rise to fourth in the table if results elsewhere go their way.

But the likes of Middlesbrough, Luton Town and Nottingham Forest are breathing down their necks so a result is vital.

Blackpool go into Wednesday night on a three game winning streak of their own that has put them 12th in the table.

Here is how we predict Heckingbottom will line up his side to face the Tangerines on Wednesday night…

A lot has been made about Sheffield United’s injury crisis and it will massively impact Heckingbottom’s lineup this midweek.

OIi McBurnie, Charlie Goode, Chris Basham and John Fleck are just some of the 11 players currently absent through injury.

McBurnie, Fleck and Ben Davies could return to the side against Blackpool but it is likely they will start on the bench.

That leaves Heckingbottom little room to rotate his side following the defeat to the Sky Blues.

That means it is likely he will opt for the same starting side that played at the weekend.
