'Big no!' — Manchester United fans divided in response to fresh Memphis Depay transfer links
Manchester United fans have debated whether or not they'd like to see Memphis Depay make an unlikely return to Old Trafford this summer. It comes as Cristiano Ronaldo continues to be linked with an exit this summer, with it being claimed Ronaldo would accept a 30 per cent pay cut to leave Old Trafford.
Should he leave, United have been linked with Barcelona attacker Depay, who is said to be available for just £17 million. Depay, 28, spent 18 months with United in the Premier League between 2015 and 2017 after being signed from PSV Eindhoven by Dutch compatriot Louis van Gaal — his current manager for the Netherlands national team.
In that time, though, the forward only scored seven goals in 53 games for the club and was sold by Jose Mourinho before reviving his career in Ligue 1 with Lyon. In the summer of 2021, he earned a move to Barcelona.
