'He needed that' - Manchester United fans delighted as Amad scores vs Rayo Vallecano

Manchester United fans have shared their delight for Amad after he opened the scoring for the Reds against Rayo Vallecano. Amad started the match on the bench for United as Cristiano Ronaldo started in the centre-forward position. Ronaldo was playing his first minutes of pre-season having missed the Thailand and Australia pre-season tour due to 'family reasons'.

Erik ten Hag gave the Portuguese ace 45 minutes against their Spanish opposition with Amad given the opportunity to impress off the bench. And impress he did within just a couple of minutes.

Alex Telles was allowed room to fire a shot towards the goal which was spilled into the path of the youngster who fired home. United were pegged back in the 57th minute when Tom Heaton's save was parried towards Alvaro Garcia Rivera for the equaliser.
