"Big decision to make" - Sky Sports reporter drops Palace claim on "phenomenal" £22.5m-rated ace

Crystal Palace loan star Conor Gallagher has a ‘big decision to make’ over his future as he will not want his Chelsea return to have an impact on his World Cup dreams, according to Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge.

Gallagher is set to head back to Stamford Bridge following the campaign’s climax, when his season-long loan with Palace will expire.

Gallagher penned a new long-term contract with Chelsea prior to his loan switch to West Bromwich Albion last term, resulting in him being tied down to the west Londoners until the summer of 2025.

The £17,000-per-week agreement means Chelsea are in a strong negotiating position if any admirers look to strengthen their interest during the summer transfer window.

But it appears that has not put potential suitors off as Liverpool have been tipped to make a move at the end of the season.

Gallagher has suffered the blow of not being able to play in this weekend’s FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea as FA rules state permission will not be granted for loan players to feature against their parent club.

The Blues have also refused to allow Palace to select Gallagher, which Eagles boss Patrick Vieira has revealed will leave the ‘fantastic’ central midfielder frustrated.

Gallagher has won the first three caps of his England career since heading to Palace on a temporary basis.

With the 2022 World Cup taking place midway through next season, Bridge feels Gallagher must be cautious ahead of deciding whether he wants to challenge for a starting berth at Chelsea.
