Bid ready: Tottenham to accelerate plans to sign 'world class' international for Conte - report

Tottenham Hotspur are readying a first bid to sign Inter Milan central defender Alessandro Bastoni, according to a report from Football Insider. 

Having secured UEFA Champions League football on the final day of the Premier League season, Spurs boss Antonio Conte and transfer chief Fabio Paratici were handed a huge boost to the transfer kitty to the tune of £150million from ENIC this week.

That timely addition to the coffers is expected to see multiple arrivals to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium squad as Conte attempts to bolster the options at his disposal.

One man perennially linked in recent times has been Bastoni – who appeared on 74 occasions under Conte at the San Siro – and it now appears that the Londoners could be ready to make their first move to reunite the countrymen…

Adding a player of Bastoni’s undoubted calibre to the squad would be a significant statement of intent from the club.
